GoWizYou , a La Forge 3.0 company, will equip the Library of the G. Pompidou Centre with its collaborative platform Google Apps for Work.
At the end of a public consultation, the Public Information Library – the “BPI” – of the Pompidou Centre in Paris, retained the GoWizYou proposal (amongst 11 received) to equip its 250 agents with Google’s collaborative and mobile platform.
Saturated mailboxes, repetitive archiving, outdated ergonomics… The BPI’s old system had reached its limits.
The employees can rest assured that the email change will not lead to a revolution: “the tools are the same as those in Google’s” free product “Gmail” but with guaranteed security and privacy.” said Florence Mougenot, IT project manager at GoWizYou. The BPI
will have a reserved domain name “bpi.fr” and a capacity of 30 GB for each user. The Google search engine will allow quick search in mailboxes, archives, calendars or contacts.
In practice, how does it work?
A well-defined transition phase has been implemented.
All data from the old system will be recovered and restored for each user in the new environment. Initially, the DSI project team will test the set-up of the platform, then a group of 32 “pilot” agents and finally all the BPI agents.
Certified GoWizYou teams will train everyone on-site during the transition period.
The BPI can now be assured of having an efficient, intuitive and easy to use work environment.
In addition, migration to Google Apps tools will enable the BPI to make significant savings.
